Galleries and Online Decisions for Artists in the midst of real life

It has been a minute since I've been here.
That's because I needed to take a breath or two as I dealt with identity theft and a breach of my bank accounts (both business and personal). I take full responsibility for falling for two scams that led to this scary situation and I have relearned a valuable, if cynical, lesson: don't trust anyone!! Especially where money is concerned.
Thankfully, the thieves were not able to score anything from my foolishness and my bank was very helpful in setting me up with new accounts.
In addition to that, I relocated back to my home base and have been catching up on yardwork that was neglected for a month. I love yardwork so it has been a blessing but time consuming.
Check out my Etsy shop for more merchandise I've been creating through Printful.
I am holding off advertising my work through Pinterest since I'm still exploring the dreaded subject of TAXES. Stay tuned. I will definitely share what I learn: at least the Washington State, USA info.
I did receive some sample items: the Yellow Sunflower tote bag and a laptop case from Printful. I decided not to stock the laptop case as the design of my mosaic on it did not meet my expectations. The tote bag, however, is lovely and I am awaiting the arrival of the 2nd tote bag (larger, different design and with a pocket) as well as some of the newer items.

Another decision I am leaning towards is closing out my account with Pictorem. I did receive a stretched canvas print and it was fairly well done, but not excellent. The company is also located in Canada so shipping and foreign exchange fees add up and shipping times are longer for the U.S.
In order to make a profit, I would need to charge $150 for the framed print if I sell it through a gallery. That seems excessive for a 12x12 print and if Printful's print quality is the same, or better than Pictorem's, with less expense and quicker shipping, it seems like a better option.
I'm not sure if you're interested in my thinking out loud here, but, if you are an aspiring artist just starting out selling your work, you might gain something from it - even if I am making choices that you would not.
Another conflict at this time of year is that two of the galleries I have work shown in are asking for submissions for their fall season.
This is tempting, however, I will be one of several featured artists at the Allied Arts November show so most of my newer work will be tied up there.

Speaking of newer work, I have been making slow, but steady progress on my latest mosaic.
I'm hoping to finish it in time for the November show.
Stop by if you're in the Bellingham area.
